We advise against enabling event recording during your mountain bike ride. Since event recording is quite sensitive, there’s a chance that if you’re cycling on forest paths and bumpy roads, the Action Cam will detect this as an event and save the video to the secure event recordings folder.
We recommend that you format the SD card every 2 to 3 months. If there are files on the SD card that you want to keep, we recommend that you save them to your computer. You can format the SD card through the app by going to settings and pressing the option: “Format SD card” The SD card can also be formatted via the Action Cam by holding down the “Light Brightness” button for 5 seconds. The Action Cam will then beep once to confirm formatting. Once the Action Cam beeps three times in succession, formatting is complete.
We recommend resetting your Action Cam. You can reset the Action Cam via the Action Cam itself. Open the flap at the bottom and press the reset button once using a paperclip or pin.
Open the settings in the app. Press “WiFi password”. From here you can change the WiFi password.
If you’ve forgotten the Wi-Fi password, you can reset the Action Cam to factory settings. You can reset the Action Cam via the body cam itself. Open the flap at the bottom and press the reset button once using a paperclip or pin. The WiFi password will then be reset to the default password: “12345678”. Save important footage before formatting your SD card or resetting your Action Cam to factory settings.
Clean the lens with (preferably) a lens cloth.
Use the 1 minute recording duration setting to enable loop recording.
